The terrain in this area is very diverse, including sand,Granite, clay and marl means and the combination of climatic and soil conditions, this is not the easiest areas in which to grow grapes. However, the region produces some of the best Riesling, Pinot Blanc and Gewurztraminer grapes.

The area produces about 20 percent of the annual wine production is France (about 165 million bottles) and the vast majority of grapes grown are the names used for the production of a number of famous white wines in the world,Echo of their different options. The best known are the Riesling and Gewürztraminer, which are both about 40 percent of the wines of Alsace, but other wines, Tokay and Sylvaner.

Although perhaps not known to produce a Tokay Pinot Gris from the full-bodied white wine with a wonderful scent of wood and spices, and is the perfect addition to Quiche Lorraine. As a full-bodied wine, but it is also an excellent choice as an accompaniment to meat for those who prefer a whiteInstead of a red wine.

Sylvaner, which was originally in Austria, produced in Alsace for 200 years and is a dry white wine, fruity, which is often served with fish and pork.
